RIP Elisabeth Sladen

Here's a confirmation of her death from the BBC website, along with some nice words from Russell T. Davies and Steven Moffat, amongst others, and here's a short tribute from RTD. I think I'm kind of... in shock about this. I didn't even know she was sick. Best wishes to her family and friends. She was a brilliant actress and, by all accounts, a great person, and she'll be missed.

Stephen Fry just mentioned it on Twitter. I'm really sad. :-( I just had watched her on Old Who, too.

I was just watching the SJA eps with Matt Smith, and she was so kick-ass, as always. Everything is upsetting today :(

99 years ago on this day Bram Stoker died. I don't see you mentioning that.

The vampires of the world cry.

Weirdly, it's also my mom's birthday :/

Well, RIP Mr. Bram Stoker too. It's also the day Ælfheah's died 99 years ago, Dudley Moore's 76th birthday, and the 172nd anniversary of Belgium officially becoming a country.

Er... that should be "the day Ælfheah died 999 years ago," not... whatever I wrote. Oops.

...it's Hilter's birthday, too. Would you say your mom has a bit of an authoritarian personality?

Hmmmm. She DOES keep telling me to eat more broccoli....

Actually, still the 19th here.

You're early with Hitler's birthday, Super sorry. :X

FUCK, then the Bram Stoker death anniversary is all off too.

In that case, let's mourn Charles Darwin who died on April 19th in 1882. Vampires also cry for him, though, because he didn't include them in his evolution schemes.
