It's been one year, three months, and six days since last I used my journal. "So," I thought, "I better come back with something massive and shiny to distract people from the fact that I've been so utterly AWOL." Well, I did no recaps, MST3Ks, obnoxious fangirling, or pointlessly in-depth analyses during 2009. I missed a whole year of fandom-related fandoming.

In light of that, allow me to distract you all from my long absence with a massive, shiny picspam of everything I wasn't recaping/squeeing about/pointlessly analyzing during 2009.

This is long and will hurt your dial-up.

So. I hope that distracted you all thoroughly. I'm gonna actually try to update every once in a while now.

Also I did most of the caps myself and it took forever to clean them up so if you want to use them for anything that's cool just please credit me thanks!
I made a Dollhouse icon. 'Cause why not. Adele IS made of win and she deserves an icon that lets the whole world know that.

Meanwhile, in the world of my cracktastic Buffyverse OTPs (I only have one or two... >.>), I wrote a bit of fanfic for Anya/Hallie, in an attempt to get them out of my system. Hopefully it worked, although I suspect my sudden obsession with this pairing isn't going anywhere.

Voila, it be here

Also, Donna is so dead. I keep saying that, and here's why (again) )

New DW tomorrow (or today, really), and they'll finally get to meet Agatha Christie! Good for Ten - that was one of Nine's life goals, if I recall (or maybe it was one of Ten's life goals... I don't remember. One of those numbers). I'm super-excited. And shall update with a long rant about all the foreshadowing in the new ep telling me that Donna will die.

As expected, since today was the day FOX unveiled its new line-up, much Dollhouse news.

But EF&SC are showrunners? Gosh, why couldn't Tim do it? And Joss is looking to snag Jane Espensen but apparently there are budget issues. BUT JANE ESPENSEN IS TOO GOOD FOR BUDGET ISSUES. I certainly hope she will get on Dollhouse, 'cause... she's my hero. Also, what ever happened to Mere Smith? Other than Joss and Tim, she was my favorite AtS writer.

totally cut for ZOMG TEH JOSS!RANT )

Yes, indeed. But WHY MIDSEASON??? D8 <-- sad smiley is sad

EDIT: Just found the trailer and all I need say is DAMN. Still no sign of facialscarring!AA (at least she got a mention?), but I love the programmers (and OW and HL, even though they're not technicians, but they're non-doll Dollhouse employees) EVEN MORE. The blonde kid just might be the new Andrew, except smart. Also, another Whedonverse alum: the guy who played the sleezy casino owner in "The House Always Wins"! Why do I know these things without having to look them up?

Someone on the whedonesque forums was talking about Olivia Williams' British accent. And I quote: "I hope she talks a lot. And is evil." I fully agree. Even if the show is bad (and let's face it, it's really NOT gonna be bad), as long as Olivia Williams talks a lot, I'll still tune in every week.

and I looked at that list thing of 1001 books you must read before you die... )

ALSO, AND THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT: I just realized my layout features a blonde, a brunette, and a redhead. They're like Charlie's Angels IN SPACE! Ten is Lucy Liu.

Dollhouse will air in January 2009.

Why must they make me wait?
Current Mood: distressed
Current Music: pain. no, there's really a song called pain.

Lady U was kind enough to direct my attention to whedonesque, where Joss recently told the world that three new cast members have been added to Dollhouse: Harry Lennix, "Miracle Laurie" (???), and the inimitable Amy Acker (apparently he had some trouble spelling her name, and frankly, it took me a few minutes, too >.>)

Because I'm me, I need to reveal my thoughts on all this.
